My "Grand" Baby's First Birthday

Morgan and Kyle had the funnest party for Brielle. She had the cutest outfit on that Morgan made her. She had a pink onsie with a great big "B" stitched on it in brown, then a pink and brown too-too and pink and brown leggings. She fit right in with the princess cake that Morgan also made. It was so cute and yummy too. I was surprised that she didn't like digging into her own little cake more. She had more fun wiping the goo on her hands on everybody else though. I wish my pictures would have turned out better but this is what you get when you hand your camera over to a twelve year old. It was a really fun day and Brielle got so many nice presents but the two high light presents were a ball and a doll. See she hasn't decided whether she is a tom-boy or a girlie girl yet. Regardless we LOVE Brielle and it's the greatest being a grammy.

The last of Basketball for Nolan

It's a bitter sweet day watching Nolan play the last of his basketball games. It has been a very hard year in many way, with alot of his friends quiting the team mid-season and him getting hurt but I am proud of him for sticking the year out. He was a starter for most of the year except when he rolled his ankle. He is great on defense and they missed him greatly while he was out. The top pictures are of his last home game which is dubbed "Senior Night". He played really well and they actually won that game. The other pictures are from the play in game last Saturday at Snow College. They played really well the first half but after that is was all down hill. He's in the best shape he's been in since recovering from his illness two years ago and I am grateful that sports has helped him in that area.

Life with Mahala

Life is always interesting with Mahala around. She is all girl. I have been so wrapped up with basketball lately that I don't have very many fun pictures of Mahala so I borrowed her camera and wanted to give people a glimpse of life through the eyes of a 14 year old. She loves hanging out with her friends and loves to get together for parties and just goofing off. She loves to dance more than anything and is constantly dancing around the house. (It drives her dad crazy) She is going to be going to dance competition in a couple of months and she is doing a solo this year. She wants to try out this year for the high school drill team for next year. I can't believe she is going to be in high school. She acts so much younger than Morgan did when she was going into 9th grade. Mahala got a camera a year ago and thinks she is a professional photographer. She had a party here the other night with 11 14 year olds. She took pictures of them all. She thinks they turned out just like Hazens (which is a professional place that comes to Fillmore every year and does the high school kids.) She is so funny. The goofy picture is at one of the many sleep overs where they started out doing serious make up on each other and then some one got crazy and they all ended up looking like indians. I had to put this last one in of Mahala and Brielle cuz I just like it, even though it is older. She really is a sweet girl and I love her so much.

baskets + balls = black eyes

This was Nicklaus last Jr. Jazz game of the year so I thought I had better bring my camera and snap some pictures of him in action. He loves all sports and is very athletic but his heart still lies on the golf course. He played really well and scored 5 points and had 10 rebounds. His team won by five. See his five points did matter. Now the 6th grade traveling team starts on

Monday. Nicklaus is very competitive and sacrificed his face for a rebound. He's athletic but not too smart.
